Head of Content - Crash

Since 1998, Crash.net has been a world leader in digital motorsports content and - in spite of the turbulence of 2020 - Crash has emerged in a very strong position. To that end we are looking for a Head of Content to further drive the business forward.

The primary role of the Head of Content is to set and deliver the content strategy for Crash (with the overarching commercial objectives of the wider business in mind.) The role will be very autonomous and the successful candidate will play a key part in deciding how the brand acts, feels and looks, and which strategic direction the business takes. It will, of course, involve day to day management of the existing content team; alongside this the Head of Content will also be very involved with the commercial side of the brand.

Reporting and analytics will make up a crucial part of the role, and the Head of Content will need a keen eye for detail to ensure that the strategy is delivered and targets met.

Candidates will need to demonstrate the majority of the following skills and experience:
  • Significant and in-depth experience of of digital content management
  • A proven track record of content team management
  • An excellent network of contacts within the motorsports industry
  • Proficiency in managing budgets
  • Demonstrable understanding of the link between content performance and revenue
  • High level of competency with Google Analytics
  • Very good working knowledge of SEO and tools related to SEO (GSC, SEMrush)
  • Expert knowledge of Social Media and how to grow a platform quickly

In 2020, Visordown has emerged as the world leader in terms of digital motorcycling content. We’ve seen record breaking levels of traffic to site, video views and wider social media interaction. To capitalise on this success and further develop our brand, we have created a new position - Head of Content for Visordown.

The primary role of the Head of Content is to set and deliver the content strategy for Visordown (with the overarching objectives of the wider business in mind.) The role will be very autonomous, and the successful candidate will be key in deciding how the brand acts, feels and looks, and which strategic direction the brand takes. It will of course involve management of the existing content team and you will also be very involved with the commercial side of the brand.

Reporting and analytics will make up a crucial part of the role, and the Head of Content will need a very keen eye for detail to ensure that the strategy is delivered and commercial targets met.

To be successful in this role, candidates will need to demonstrate the following:
  • Significant senior level digital content management experience
  • A proven track record of team management
  • A well developed network of contacts within the motorcycling industry
  • Highly proficient at managing budgets
  • Demonstrable understanding of the link between content performance and revenue
  • High level of competency with Google Analytics
  • Very good working knowledge of SEO and tools related to SEO (GSC, SEMrush)
  • An expert approach to Social Media; will understand how to grow a platform quickly
  • The ability to rider a motorcycle (v. strong preference, not required)

Digital Marketing Manager

Despite the turbulence of 2020, Crash Media Group has emerged in an extremely strong position, with our brands Crash.net, Visordown.com and Golfmagic.com all achieving unparalleled traffic growth throughout the year. In order to continue this momentum and further drive brand success, we are now looking to accelerate growth across all platforms with the newly created position of Digital Marketing Manager.

The role is extremely varied, and core responsibilities will include:
  • Email marketing
  • PPC
  • SEO
  • Social Media
  • Collection and management of user data
  • Project management
  • Corporate Communications
  • NPD
  • Insight & Analytics
The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate the majority of the following skills:
  • Significant Digital Marketing experience, preferably with a large digital publisher
  • Excellent working knowledge of tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMRush etc
  • Proficiency with social media, both usage and analysis
  • Excellent reporting skills
  • Up to date with the latest trends in digital media and marketing
  • Knowledge of CSS, JS etc

Whilst not an essential pre-requisite for the role, an interest in Golf, Motorsport and/or Motorbikes would be extremely beneficial.
